About RECAST
RECAST is a forum for researchers and doctoral students from all disciplines to meet and discuss research relating to sustainability, share knowledge, promote interdisciplinary collaboration, broaden networks, and develop collaborative partnerships. RECAST is open to anyone who is interested in the role of research in the transition to a sustainable society. RECAST seminars are conducted in English.

Transition, Identity and Civil Society (TICS)

Dalarna University has been granted the right to award doctoral degrees in the field of Sustainable Societies and Organizations in the subject area of Sustainable Place and Working Life Development. In addition, a possible second subject area, Welfare and Politics, is being formulated.
The seminar is intended to highlight how research on the civic, institutional, and cultural conditions for a sustainable society contributes to the development of an additional subject area around the key concepts of democracy, welfare, and politics.
Which questions, perspectives and directions should this subject contain? In what ways can changes and challenges, particularly in rural regions, be addressed in relation to the importance of democracy and the development of the welfare state?

How Dalarna University Publications Address the SDGs
Academic publications can be connected to sustainable development and the UN's 17 Global Goals (also known as SDGs - Sustainable Development Goals).
