This pre-study project funded by Region Dalarna in the field of development and innovation included, as a list of activities, organizing the work team, building up communication channels (contacts) and dissemination of the results, preparing funding applications, and laying basis for future research and innovation network with Dalarna as a hub. In collaboration with IUC Dalarna and CheckWatt, the pre-study establishes contacts with the companies in the region that have an interest in participating in a future implementation project. A first focus is on the new technology's opportunities to utilize industrial waste heat efficiently and cost-effectively.
In line with Region Dalarna’s “Dalastrategin” (Dalarna 2020, innovative environments and entrepreneurship and Agenda for Smart Specialization, Energy effective social buildings and advanced industry), this pre-study pursues one or several research and innovation proposals, to contribute to the climate stability and solution of new technical innovations which supports the regional development.
