Resources for finding books and articles

You can search for the library's ebooks, printed books and journal articles in the search box on the library's start page. You can also search for books and articles in the following resources:

• Access Torrossa 
  Database including Italian ebooks and the journal Francofonia. N.B. You must have du Adobe Acrobat Reader installed to read downloaded ebooks. Moreover, you cannot read ebooks online in the web browser Firefox.

• ERIC
  ERIC (Education Resources Information Center) is a database of education research and information.

• Google Scholar 
  NB The search service contains not only scholarly literature but also many non-scholarly sources and dishonest journals. Consequently, you should check that sources are scholarly and that articles are not from blacklisted journals in Cabells – Predatory Reports. To get access to full-text articles in the library’s journal subcriptions, you must activate a library link (See Activate library links in Google Scholar).

• Liber Liber
  Literature in full text.

• Linguistics Collection
  Database collection for literature on linguistics and language-related disciplines. The collection searches simultaneously in the databases Linguistics and Language Behavior Abstracts and Linguistics Database.

• MLA International Bibliography
  Useful for finding research on literature and linguistics, among other things.

• SBN (Servizio Bibliotecario Nazionale) 
  National catalogue for Italian libraries. Good resource for finding books.

Encyclopedias and dictionaries

• Britannica Academic
  The database includes Encyclopædia Britannica and Merriam-Webster (dictionary & thesaurus).
