Semester start: Welcome Day for new international students

Join us on Friday, 28 August at Campus Borlänge for Welcome Day. You can also take part in practical activities at Campus Falun and Campus Borlänge before Welcome Day.

If you did not sign-up to participate, please contact study@du.se no later than August 24th.

Before you come to campus

  1. Create your DU user account by Tuesday, 25 August
Create your DU user account by Tuesday so that it is ready to use when you come to campus. You will need your account to access Dalarna University's digital services and connect to the university Wi-Fi.

Go to id.du.se and select New Identity.

If you are a new international student without a Swedish personal identity number (personnummer), you will need an ID key to create your account. If you do not already have one, request an ID key from support@du.se. When you have received your key, select Key as your identification method.

  2. If you use an iPhone or iPad
Prepare your iPhone or iPad for Wi-Fi before you come to campus. You may need to turn off Stolen Device Protection before you can install the certificate needed to connect to the university Wi-Fi. Apple may apply a one-hour security delay when you change this setting, so do not wait until you arrive on campus.

Activities before Welcome Day

You can take part in several practical activities at both campuses before Welcome Day. If you have been assigned a keycard appointment, you need to attend at your assigned time. All other activities are optional.
