Dalarna University, together with Dalastudent (the student union), offers a free pick-up service for new students arriving by train or bus to Borlänge or Falun before the start of the semester.
The pick-up service is available from 08:00 to 20:00 on the following days:
- Monday, August 24, 2026
- Tuesday, August 25, 2026
- Wednesday, August 26, 2026
- Thursday, August 27, 2026
- Saturday, August 29, 2026
- Sunday, August 30, 2026
If you are arriving to Borlänge or Falun outside the dates and times the pick-up service is offered, you can take a taxi from the bus/train station to your pre-booked accommodation.
There are often taxis parked outside the stations when trains arrive from Stockholm however if no taxis are present, the numbers you can call to order a taxi are 023-153 00 (Falun) and 0243-22 88 00 (Borlänge).
Please note that if the train from Stockholm to Borlänge/Falun is late, we will remain at the train stations until the train arrives. If your train is cancelled or if you miss your train, please email us immediately: info@dalastudent.se
