Motivering: ”The jury wishes to distinguish Joakim Hermansson’s ‘writing from the outside,’ a teaching model of rare intellectual coherence. Where screenwriting instruction habitually begins with structure and formula, Hermansson begins with the writer’s worldview — blending pragmatic craft and narrative theory into a rigorous, curricular whole in which students discover that structure does not limit freedom but produces it. Grounded in his own research and critically examined through the scholarship of higher-education pedagogy before implementation, his approach exemplifies what this award exists to encourage: innovation with a research base, not a stylistic preference. His model is young — carried, so far, by a single generation of students whose testimony is remarkable, and it stood on more it would very likely have earned more”.
