Request Public Documents

According to the principle of public access, you have the right to access information at the University – this includes access to documents that are sent to or from the University, or that are drawn up here. However, a draft or personal minutes from a meeting are not normally considered public. Some public documents are covered by the rules of confidentiality, which makes them either completely or partly classified. Classified documents may not be shared. Anybody who is denied access to a document for reasons of confidentiality must be informed that he or she has the right to receive a written decision on this and that the decision can be appealed.

If you want to access public documents, you can contact the registrar: registrator@du.se.

Old documents are stored in the University’s archives. To access these, contact the Archivist: arkiv@du.se.

Copy Fees

According to the Avgiftsförordningen, Section 15, the University must take a fee to cover the cost of copying and printing public documents if the number of pages exceeds 10.

  • 0 - 9 pages: no fee
  • 10 pages or more: 50 kronor + 2 kronor/page for each additional page

There will also be a charge for the postage of packages weighing more than 20 grammes. Any other costs involved with postage (or other such service) will also be charged.

Processing of Personal Data

New data protection regulations (GDPR) came into force on May 25, 2018. For information about our processes at the University and for contact information, see Personal Data Protection (webpage).
