Students with Prior Knowledge of Chinese
If you have prior knowledge of the Chinese language, you should have your proficiency assessed to ensure placement in courses that match your level.
Documentation of Previous Studies
If you have official documentation (such as transcripts and/or certificates) from Chinese language courses completed outside Sweden, please upload these documents when applying via antagning.se or universityadmissions.se.
Placement Test
If you do not have official documentation of your previous Chinese studies, you may take an online placement test with us. Please contact amne.kinesiska@du.se for more information about the test. Please note that taking the placement test does not generate any course credits.
Transfer of Credits from Previous Studies
If you have completed Chinese language courses at another higher education institution in Sweden or abroad, you may apply for a credit transfer after you have registered as a student at Dalarna University.
If you have prior knowledge of Chinese but have not earned university credits in Chinese, it may be possible to transfer credits from university courses in another subject area (e.g., English or Mathematics). Such cases are assessed individually.
