Description
The overall research question for this project can be stated as: How do the regional economic effects of the horse industry look like and how does the horse related consumption differ depending on type of horse? Method wise, interviews and questionnaires are used to collect new data to estimate consumption and demand parameters.
The results can be directly incorporated into existing models of Economic effects and BI-solutions for the horse industry. The project contributes to more detailed and accurate descriptions of the horse industry impact at various levels within the economy as well as enables showing the impact from different types of horse use (trotting, horse racing, show jumping, leisure riding, Islandic horse etc.)
