iNSPiRe is a project funded by EU's FP7 program and has 224 participants from undustry, research institutes and associations. The project is large with a work effort of over 60 person years, of which four are allocated to Högskolan Dalarna. The overall goal of the project is to develop a package of systemic solutions that enable a complete renovation to take place without the dwellers needing to leave during the renovation. Clear energy targets for the buildings after renovation were set in the research call and are 50 kWh/m2 primary energy. This is to be achieved by developing multifuncational facades and roofs that are to be built in factories. The solutions will be demonstrated on three buildings in Europe.
Högskolan Dalarnas role in the projekt is:
• Modeling and simulation of the HVAC systems.
• Analysis of potential non-technical barriers to the widespread implemenation of the solutions.
• Testing of the components and systems in the lab and in the field.
