Meeting Your Students

You can meet to talk with your students (for seminars, supervision or general meetings) using first and foremost Zoom, but as a back-up you can also use "Meeting " in Learn (Collaborate) .

Zoom enables you to:

  • talk with your students and colleagues using sound and moving pictures For best quality, use a headset and a web camera.
  • work with different assignments, including group assignments in breakout rooms
  • share your computer screen and use different programmes: e.g., Powerpoint
  • share a whiteboard.

Lecturing

Your lectures can be campus-based or web-based, or a combination of these.

  • From the Lecture Hall
When you are on campus, you can broadcast live and record from a number of the lecture halls. When you are broadcasting live, students – both those in the lecture hall and those sitting elsewhere – are able to ask questions that you can respond to during the lecture.
  • Using Zoom
You can use Zoom for lecturing and you may also record these lecture, both with and without students in attendance.
  • Using Play
You can both record and upload previously recorded lectures (from for example Zoom) in the tool "My Media" that you find in Learn.
  • In a Studio
You can record your lecture in a studio at Campus Borlänge. You can book the studio using this link: http://boka.du.se.
  • Record Lectures with Other Devices
