Children and Young Adults in Closed Religious Communities

Upon completion of the course, students will be able to:

  • explain and compare historical and current discussions about children in new religious environments
  • apply Theoretical Concepts and the Convention on the Rights of the Child in discussions about children‘s religious freedom in new religious environments
  • reflect on how new religious environments affect the conditions in which children and young adults‘ grow up and the formation of their identity.
