The course addresses impact innovation as an approach to developing solutions that create both customer value and societal benefit. The content is characterised by fundamental theories, models and methods in innovation management, with a particular focus on sustainability, systems perspectives and long-term change.

The course includes problem formulation and needs analysis related to societal challenges, business model development with a sustainability focus, and analysis of value-creating functions and impact. Furthermore, the course covers the development, testing and evaluation of innovation ideas, as well as communication of innovation concepts.
