The course package involves the study of French full time. The four courses designed to further develop participants‘ ability to use French in speech and writing. They also provide in-depth knowledge of the French language through an introduction to the French language history. Continued study of French literature as well as cultural and social aspects of the French-speaking world is included.
All seminars are online (no physical meetings) with Zoom. In order to participate requires broadband, microphone, headphones and a webcam. The course consists of mandatory seminars at specific times.

  • French: Written Language Proficiency I, 7.5 credits, French I: Oral Language Proficiency, 7.5 credits, French Literature I: From 1900 to the Present Day, 7.5 credits and French: Culture and Society I, 7.5 credits. No knowledge of Swedish is required.

Computer Skills:

Surf on the Internet, read and send emails, use a word-processing programme (e.g. Word). Plug in peripherals to your computer, install programmes and adapt installations for your computer.

Computer Capacity:

Access to a computer (Not a mini pc, tablet or similar) that is not older than two years (or equivalent) and broadband connection, at least 2 Mbit/s (not mobile broadband, because mobile broadband can vary considerably in speed).

Means of Education:

Higher rate of web-based communication where our learning platform (Learn/Canvas) is a natural element of the course. Web-based meetings with sound and image where simple presentations can be held. Lectures can be broadcast live or can alternatively be made available afterwards online.
