Register for an Exam
You register to take an exam on the webpage Examination Services.
Registration opens one month before the date of the exam and closes two weeks before the date of the exam. If you do not register, you cannot take the exam even if place is available. Instead, you will have to wait until the next time the exam is held and register for it.
You can check to see if you are registered under the heading "Examinations you are signed up for" on the webpage.

Campus Exams
You should be in the exam room at least 30 minutes before the exam is scheduled to start. If you are not in the room 10 minutes before the exam is scheduled to start, you will not be allowed to begin at that time. Instead, you will have to wait to be admitted 30 minutes later along with any other late students, which means you will not have all the time for the exam. The student web provides information about where exams will be held.
Digital Exams on Campus
There are two types of digital exams on campus: exams in Canvas and exams in Inspera. Students use university computers for both of these. Before you take an exam in Inspera, we recommend that you take a trial exam. To log in to Inspera, you need to know your username and password for your university account.

Online Exams
The exam room opens 60 minutes before the exam is set to start. You should be in the digital exam room in Zoom no later than 30 minutes before the exam starts. If you arrive later than this, there is no guarantee you will receive all the time for the exam. If you are not in the room 10 minutes before the exam starts, you will not be able to take the exam at all.
Technical Requirements - Online Exams
To take an online exam, you need the following:
- Internet connection (at least 2 Mbit/s).
- A computer with (at minimum) a 13-inch screen.
- A headset or speaker/microphone so that you can communicate (in and out sound) with the examination invigilator
- An external webcam or other device with a camera to film yourself with. (NOTE: do not film yourself from a front angle.) Place the camera as shown in the image below. The examiner must be able to see you, your desk and what is happening on your screen.
- A telephone that the examination invigilator can contact you on. If you are using the camera on your mobile phone, you must have another phone that is visible on your desk that you can be contacted on at all times.
You must also be logged in to SSO in Zoom according to the instructions on the webpage "Zoom for students".

Study Aids
It is up to you to find what study aids you may use during the exam. The examination invigilator will check these during the exam. You can only take the study aids listed in the instructions for the exam.
After the Exam
Teachers have 15 working days to assess your exam. Grades are reported to Ladok regardless of the type of exam. For paper exams taken in class, the teacher takes them to the reception desk for scanning. Within five working days, your exam will appear on Exam Services under "Your scanned exams".
Online Exams in Canvas: you will see your submissions/exam answers under grades. Here you can see a summary of your grades and in each section you can see feedback from teachers.
Digital Classroom Exams in Inspera: after the teacher has assessed your work, you can log in to Inspera with your DU student account and click on the heading Archive. There you will see your completed digital exams. Click on the exam date, and you will see your scores and feedback from the teacher.
