Description
The purpose of this project is to develop a micro approach to analyze and visualize the effects of public transports on regional enlargement of labor markets. To do so we use the actual technical range of the infrastructure and the potential reach of the working population. The project further develops an existing tool that visualizes effects of infrastructure investments on road networks travelling by car to also visualize public transport on railroads. More precisely the aims of the project are to:
1. Develop the methodology and the tool so it also can be used to analyze and visualize public transport.
2. Develop the methodology and the tool so it can use results from the so-called SAMPERS model currently used by the National Rail Administration
3. Apply the methodology and the tool on a 'real' infrastructure investment project, for instance "Götalandsbanan".
