Description
The goal of the project is to develope a general computational tool that can be used for evaluating optimal optical surface properties with respect to energy demand for heating and cooling under different conditions regarding building characteristics and climate. We will study how micro- and macroscopic surface structure influences the overall energy performance of buildings and to which level the model of building energy balances must incorporate details of surface properties in order to deliver results of the accuracy that is relevant.
The analysis of effective emittance and reflectance together with energy analysis of buildings can generate completely new type of products where both the paints and the geometrical profile of the corrugated steel sheet together gives a new type of building cladding for energy efficient performance.
