The cinematographers roll and function has changed during the last few decades due to technological shifts and other production related processes. My research will focus on the cinematographer's current and future relevance in the production of the moving image. The specific questions that this study intends to answer are:
1. In what way are the cinematographer replaced in new production contexts, and what are the aesthetical consequences?
