Culturally Responsive Teaching and Internationalisation at Home

How can we create more inclusive learning environments that recognise and value the diverse backgrounds, experiences, and perspectives of our students?

Date: , kl 10:00 - 12:00
Location: Digital only

This Higher Education Pedagogy Seminar is organised by colleagues from different disciplines and institutions at DU who participated in the Erasmus+ Blended Intensive Programme (BIP) Culturally Responsive Teaching for Inclusion in Higher Education, at the University of Limerick, Ireland.

We will share key insights and experiences from this inspiring professional development programme!

Through a series of short presentations, we will explore culturally responsive teaching across different disciplines and educational contexts, why it matters for student learning and inclusion, and how it connects to internationalisation at home. We will also present practical examples and strategies that can be applied in courses and programmes to foster more inclusive teaching and learning practices.

The presentations will be followed by an open discussion, providing an opportunity to exchange ideas, reflect on challenges and possibilities, and consider how culturally responsive approaches can be implemented in our own educational settings.

We look forward to sharing our experiences and learning together.

Warm welcome!
Anna, Barbara, Charlie, Joacim, Mia, Susanne, Yves and Zlatana
