Methods for Evidence-Based Nursing II

After completing the course students should be able to:

  • describe different research designs and approaches and understand the applicability of the methods of data collection and analysis,
  • analyse and evaluate research relevant to nursing from a gender and socio-cultural perspective with respect to the research process, the results’ reliability and validity, researchers’ and research ethics, as well as its clinical application,
  • pinpoint a problem area relevant to nursing, establish criteria for the literature search , and carry out that search using relevant search terms in databases,
  • design the basis for a project plan for the thesis.
