The course introduces fundamental principles and methods in statistics, with applications in business administration and economics. The content includes graphical and numerical descriptive methods, basic probability theory, discrete and continuous probability distributions, sampling distributions, point estimates, confidence intervals, and parametric hypothesis testing. The course also covers methods for data collection. Additionally, it includes analysis of relationships between variables, such as correlation and simple linear regression, as well as the presentation of results. Statistical analyses are performed using relevant software, and the results are interpreted and presented in writing.
