Learning outcomes for the course
On completion of the course, students shall be able to:
- describe and analyse Italian literature from the 18th,19th and 20th centuries as well as its most important authors and literary movements
- analyse, present and discuss, in spoken Italian, the contents of a selection of representative literary works, and identify their typical features
- reflect upon the chosen literary works and place them both in a literary and cultural context, as well as in a broader comparative European perspective
- write a short essay in Italian in which they present an analysis of literary works and thereby use established literary concepts.
