The overall goal is for students to acquire in-depth knowledge and skills in IT architecture that includes IT methods and solutions.

Knowledge and understanding
After completing the course, students will be able to:

  • Explain basic structures and components regarding IT architecture, including methods and models.
  • Describe IT architecture solutions and their applications.

Skills and abilities
After completing the course, students will be able to:

  • Analyse different application problems, in which specific competence is required for the design and development of IT architecture.
  • Apply modeling methods to describe IT architecture for different types of organisations.
  • Develop IT architecture solutions based on established theories.

Evaluation ability and approach
After completing the course, students will be able to:

  • Evaluate IT architecture methods and frameworks.
  • Assess situations where a suitable IT architecture solution is applied with expected results.
  • Assess the quality of modeling results for different application problems.
