Knowledge and understanding

After completing the course the student shall be able to:
  • explain the key theoretical perspectives in institutional theory (1)
  • demonstrate advanced knowledge and understanding - based on institutional theory - for change in sport organizations with focus on commercialization and professionalization (2)
  • demonstrate knowledge of international sport organization and development (3)
Skills and Abilities

After completing the course the student shall be able to:
  • analyzing the activities of the nonprofit sector in general and in particular how the sports organizations are affected by changes in society such as globalization (4)
  • demonstrated familiarity with various theories to describe and analyze the relationship between the social change and organizational change (5)
  • search for, collect and analyze relevant information about sport organizations in different countries and critically relate to social, organizational and cultural factors (6)
Values and attitudes

After completing the course the student should be able to:
  • demonstrate a critical approach on the relationship between the knowledge generated by the research and dominant ideas and norms in society (7)
