Learning outcomes for the course

On completion of the course, students will be able to:

  • independently, identify, problematise and formulate a research problem within the field of study
  • relate the identified problem to the existing body of knowledge in the field of study
  • demonstrate an in-depth understanding of existing knowledge on the topic
  • select relevant research methods to the research design
  • critically analyse and interpret collected data relating it to existing research in the field of study
  • critically reflect on the limitations of the research, ethical considerations and opportunities for further research
  • academically present and discuss the research design and the results both orally and written, within a given time-frame.
