Learning outcomes for the course
On completion of the course, students will be able to:
- critically discuss intercultural perspectives on the literary research process
- evaluate and, in detail, critically examine theory and method in previous research in a defined area of comparative literature
- independently search for and compile a comprehensive literature review for this area
- write a detailed and nuanced research plan for a feasible project in the field
- apply current conventions in comparative literature for documentation and citation
- in a constructive manner, analyse and discuss the academic work of others.
