Intercultural Literature Studies: Master‘s Degree Thesis with Specialisation in English

On completion of the course, students will be able to:

  • demonstrate deep methodological and theoretical knowledge and insight into current research issues within the field of intercultural literature studies with focus on literature in English
  • analyse and work with complex phenomena and issues
  • independently search for, collect, evaluate, and critically interpret and analyse, relevant information relating to a particular question
  • complete, within a set time frame, an independent study about literature that is of high academic value and that has a connection to research, and a clear method and theory, as well as argumentation that is based on informed text analyses
  • in both written and oral form, while demonstrating sound communication skills, present and argue for their results
  • critically analyse and discuss the academic work of others by providing constructive feedback.

  • Bachelor‘s Degree in Languages or Literary Studies of at least 180 credits. 90 credits at Second cycle, including 30 credits within the main field of study Intercultural Literature Studies and 30 credits in literature in English.
