The scholarship, which was presented for the first time in 2018, aims to recognise four students and also to encourage them in their studies. The students are selected based on their study results and their social involvement. They serve as good role models for other students and good representatives for the University. The scholarship is awarded in collaboration with Dalarna's Student Union.

The students were Sarah Saunders, Human Resources Programme; Anouk Jolin, Swedish as a Second Language; Kasper Lindqvist, Business Studies; and Jozef Berglez, Sport and Fitness Sciences.

"Students at the University are important for regional business and industry," explains Jörgen Olsson, General Director of housing company Stora Tunabyggen.

The companies that contribute to the scholarships are AB Borlänge Energi, AB Stora Tunabyggen, Advokatfirman Glimstedt, Fastighets AB Hushagen, Fiskarhedenvillan AB, HSB Dalarna, Kopparstaden AB, Lindgrens fastigheter AB, Mockfjärds, Prefament, Romme Alpin, Samhällsbyggnadsbolaget i Norden AB, Swedbank and Triatech.

"What these companies have in common is that they want to support competence to build a strong region. The intention is to contribute in the long term to increasing the attractiveness of Borlänge and Falun as student towns. An attractive university is important for companies and for regional development," continues Jörgen Olsson.

A big congratulations to this year's recipients from Dalarna University!
