Albina Pashkevich, Docent in Tourism Studies at Dalarna University, will be working on the project, which will run from 2020 to 2022. The other institutions that are involved are Nord University and Nordland Research Institute (Norway), Aalborg University (Denmark), Icelandic Tourism Research Centre, Uppsala University (Sweden) and the Northern Arctic Federal University (Russia).
The aim of the project is to develop strategies for sustainable cruising tourism within the Arctic region, with studies in Russia, Norway, Iceland and Greenland.
Albina Pashkevich will head field studies in Barentsburg, Longyearbyen and Lofoten (Norway), Solovetsky Islands (Russia), Ilulissat (Greenland) and Isafjordur (Iceland).
