"This is very positive. The latest agreement will mean a deeper level of collaboration and a number of areas that we identified together will now be the focus of development," states Martin Norsell, Vice-Chancellor at Dalarna University. "This will be of benefit to both our researchers and our students."
Can you give examples?
"There are a number of areas that this new collaboration will cover. It's about a mutual exchange of knowledge and skills - for example, guest lectures. Borlänge Energi will also offer summer placements for students in relevant programmes and what is more, they intend to set up a trainee programme for new gradutes," explains Sigrid Saveljeff, Deputy Vice-Chancellor, External Liaison at Dalarna University.
Lars Larsson, General Director at Borlänge Energi, is also pleased with the new prospects for collaboration.
"Naturally, it's a good thing that we can begin working along the lines of what the agreement intends. We hope to be a bridge between studies and professional life," he states.
The agreement will be in place for three years, with the possibility of extension.
