Mickaëlle Cedergren of Stockholm University and Ylva Lindberg of Jönköping University studied the literature chosen for use in French literature courses at Stockholm University, the University of Gothenburg and Dalarna University over the period 1995 to 2010.
The study concluded that Dalarna University in many respects stands out through its choice of more ”heterogenous and democratic” literature that includes more female and non-European authors; that is more recent; and that does not belong to the traditional literary canon.
