Dalarna University is a university in a constant process of change and development, and now with a new strategy in place for its future direction until 2026.

“The work we will be doing, with a basis in the university’s vision, will be comprehensive and important as the university moves forward. To build upon the quality of our education and research, the collaboration we do with, for example, municipalities, businesses, and Region Dalarna is important. Collaboration is something that leads to improvements for both collaborative parties,” explained Vice-Chancellor Martin Norsell.

“For those of us who have worked to draw up the strategy, it has been very important that it be one for the whole of the university and that everyone feels a sense of responsibility and involvement when it comes to the end results. There has been great involvement among colleagues at the university, and now we have also been able to receive a great deal of good feedback from external parties,” states Pro-Vice-Chancellor Jörgen Elbe.

A decision on the university’s strategy for the future will be made on December 17, when the University Governing Board will hold its next meeting.

Among those taking part in discussions were Dalarna University’s Vice-Chancellor Martin Norsell; Deputy Vice-Chancellor, External Liaison, Sigrif Saveljeff; Pro-Vice-Chancellor, Jörgen Elbe; and Deputy Vice-Chancellor, Education Jonas Tosteby.
