Autumn 2020 programmes and course packages with international admission are offered online

As the continued development of the Covid-19 pandemic and its accompanying restrictions are difficult to predict at present, Dalarna University has made decisions regarding the teaching format for the autumn semester 2020.

Students, especially those required to pay tuition fees, who are admitted to our international courses and programmes have multiple steps to complete in order to prepare for studying at Dalarna University. For this reason, Dalarna University needs to provide these students with clear information about the autumn semester 2020 as early as possible.

On May 8th the Vice-Chancellor decided:

  • That all teaching and examination for educational programmes and course packages with international admission in the autumn 2020 semester will be offered online.
  • To give the programme directors for these specific programmes, extraordinary authority to deviate from the educational plan and, after consultation with the Head of School, decide on changes in the programme structure.
  • That the examiner in each course has extraordinary authority to deviate from the syllabus in accordance with the above and, after consulting with the Head of School, decide on changes in examination forms and working methods for the concerned courses.

Some programmes may also be taught on-campus if the Swedish government recommendations from March 17th (that university studies will be conducted online) are updated before the start of the autumn semester. You will find more detailed information in our Q&A for newly admitted students.
