The government has appointed Pro-Vice-Chancellor Jörgen Elbe to be Acting Vice-Chancellor until such time as a new vice-chancellor is recruited.
– My focus is on continuing - together with students, staff and society at large - to take the University forward in the already established direction, states Jörgen Elbe, who will commence as Acting Vice-Chancellor on 1 December 2023.
Since first being employed at Dalarna University in the early 1990s, Jörgen Elbe has worked as both lecturer and researcher. In 2002, he was awarded a Degree of Doctor in Business Administration and Management from Uppsala University, where in 2009 he was also awarded the title docent (assistant professor). In 2017, he achieved the title Recognised University Teacher at Dalarna University and was promoted to professor in 2019.
