Summary in English

After completing the course, students should be able to:
  • demonstrate knowledge and understanding of the major theoretical models used in the analysis of second language development as well as their respective uses and limitations
  • demonstrate the ability to relate different theoretical models to the kind of knowledge that these models can be used to generate
  • discuss methodological issues relevant to the study of the didactic aspects of Swedish as a Second Language based on the different theoretical models
  • work with and interpret statistical data in linguistics.
