Learning Outcomes
Upon completion of the course the student will be able to:
- demonstrate knowledge about credit, security and insolvency law and the ability to understand, formulate, and solve complex problems in this field and criminal law concerning insolvency.
- Identify emerging problems and using legal methods, both in writing as well as orally, argue for a legal solution to the problems
- apply knowledge of the field in practice.
- determine whether the issue requires consultation with someone with further expertise.
Course Content
This module is focuses on the rules pertaining to debts in general as well as the rules concerning promissory notes and other types of bonds, as well as different types of securities in real estate and private property. It also deals with suspension of payments, business reconstruction with deeds of arrangement, and credit crime. This module also provides deeper knowledge regarding securities law, particularly with regard to private property.
