Learning Outcomes
On completion of the course, students will be able to:
- provide an account of central theoretical sociological concepts and how they can be connected to issues of digitalisation and social change
- demonstrate basic knowledge of how the internet, social media and digitalisation have been analysed in sociology
- independently problematise and critically relate to the central concepts in the field
- discuss basic knowledge of and independently talk about sociology research on issues relating to the relationship between digital media, social change and power.

This course cannot be counted towards the same degree along with courses that have equivalent content.
If the student has received a decision/recommendation granting study support from Dalarna University because of a disability, then the examiner has the right to offer an alternative examination arrangement. The examiner takes into account the objectives in the course syllabus when deciding whether the examination can be adapted in accordance with the decision/recommendation.
