Learning Outcomes
The student will acquire knowledge about the construction process organization and implementation, as well as basic environment work.
After completing the course, the student shall be able to:
- Explain the construction process and its different stages
- Define the different actors within the construction industry and their respective roles
- Describe what documents are drawn up and used during the construction of a project
- Indicate which laws and regulations affect the construction process in Sweden
- Understand the basics of resource efficient construction production
- Describe different types of construction forms
- Establish selected documents that are included in a prospectus
- Describe the grounds for work environment work regarding legislation, concepts and actors
- Explain the work involved with systematic work environments from a physical and psychosocial perspective
Course Content
The course covers the construction process from initial concept to building management. The initial focus of content is on the actors, documents and applicable regulations in the construction process and its various stages. Also, the procurement process, various forms of contracting and construction law with specialization in creating specifications and tenders are all examined. Basic work environment knowledge and specialization within the work environment in the construction process and its different stages run parallel to the previously mentioned course content.
