The thesis project is conducted as a scientific investigation that builds on knowledge and skills acquired during the course . The work is characterised by critical thinking and the use of established scientific methods.

The thesis project is carried out either as a scientific work, often in collaboration with an external partner (business, public sector, including higher education, or association) that has a relevant problem or as an in depth literature study. In the chosen area for the thesis project, students formulate purpose, problem formulation, and question(s); search for and consider relevant literature; (where applicable) choose a data collection method and collect data in accordance with that method; choose a method/methods of analysis; and reflect on results and the methods used.

Computer Skills:

Surf on the Internet, read and send emails, use a word-processing programme (e.g. Word). Plug in peripherals to your computer, install programmes and adapt installations for your computer.

Computer Capacity:

Access to a computer (Not a mini pc, tablet or similar) that is not older than two years (or equivalent) and broadband connection, at least 2 Mbit/s (not mobile broadband, because mobile broadband can vary considerably in speed).

Means of Education:

Higher rate of web-based communication where our learning platform (Learn/Canvas) is a natural element of the course, as are web-based meetings using sound and image. Lectures can be broadcast live or can alternatively be made available afterwards online. Use more advanced programmes – for example, simulation programmes.
