Upon completiion of the course, students will be able to:

Knowledge and Understanding

  • explain how information-bearing visualizations can be adapted for specific target groups and areas of use.

Skill and Ability

  • distinguish, formulate, and solve problems in information design.
  • produce advanced visualizations taking into account design principles, sustainability perspectives, and functionality requirements to the intended quality where elements such as graphics, text, image, color, shape, and aesthetics collaborate.
  • systematically execute data capture, processing, storage, analysis/modeling, and visualization with the purpose of creating a basis for scientifically founded decisions.
  • report and discuss information, problems, and solutions.

Judgment and Approach

  • make critical assessments taking into account relevant scientific, societal, and ethical aspects.
