Upon completion of the course, students will be able to:

  • discuss and problematise the school subject physical education and health from historical and didactical perspectives from the field of movement and in relation to forms and expressions in society’s movement cultures,
  • move in a variety of ways in various forms and contexts relevant to the profession,
  • demonstrate – based on the chosen purpose, content and target group as well as in relation to current governing documents – sports didactical competence in planning, implementing and evaluating teaching situations in the field of movement,
  • create conditions for learning that develop children’s and young people’s versatile movement capability based on theories of learning, play and movement development in diverse environments,
  • observe and analyse children’s and young people’s movement and movement development,
  • discuss opportunities for, and at a basic level use, digital technology relevant to
    teaching movement forms.

Computer Skills:

Surf on the Internet, read and send emails, use a word-processing programme (e.g. Word). Connect a camera and headphones to the computer and install a programme using instructions.

Computer Capacity:

Access to a computer (Not a mini pc, tablet or similar) that is not older than three years (or equivalent) and broadband connection, at least 1 Mbit/s (not mobile broadband, because mobile broadband can vary considerably in speed).

Means of Education:

Higher rate of web-based communication where our learning platform (Learn/Canvas) is a natural element of the course. Web-based meetings with sound and image where simple presentations can be held. Lectures can be broadcast live or can alternatively be made available afterwards online.
