French: Bachelor Degree Thesis

Starts week 3, 2024

On completion of the course, the students should be able to:

  • collect relevant linguistic or literary material in French for a scientific study and demonstrate theoretical knowledge of some chosen relevant and up-to-date research questions in the same area of specialisation
  • demonstrate independence and the ability to solve problems, as well as a reflective approach
  • write a theoretical work in acceptable French where students use methods appropriate for their work and can search for, and critically interpret, relevant sources, as well as analyse and summarise their results
  • take into account and use different opinions from their supervisor and other students in order to work on their own texts
  • analyse, discuss and critically evaluate another thesis in French in a constructive way at the oral examination
  • demonstrate the correct reference techniques, accurate quotes and accurate and relevant bibliography
  • defend their own degree thesis, in French, at the oral examination.

Means of Education:

Higher rate of web-based communication where our learning platform (Learn/Canvas) is a natural element of the course. Web-based meetings with sound and image where simple presentations can be held. Lectures can be broadcast live or can alternatively be made available afterwards online.
