In-depth Study Project within Energy Technology

The overall aim of the course  is that students, within a given framework, will complete a piece of work that is developmental in character. In doing so, they will apply knowledge and skills acquired during their studies and obtain additional knowledge within the field of energy engineering. 

On completion of this course, students will be able to:

  • Identify a scientifically interesting area to study and, with the help of a supervisor, formulate a research question.
  • Complete a written paper that adopts a scientific approach.
  • Critically and systematically collect and process information from relevant literature.
  • Choose a method and reflect on this choice based on cientific requirements and engineering.
  • Demonstrate the ability to identify their personal need for further knowledge.
  • Critically and systematically review and evaluate their own work and the work of others with regard to scientific aspects, and communicate the results in dialogue with others.
