Towards Sustainability and Resilience in Tourism and Hospitality 2

This course explores the ways in which different actors deal with disasters including the results of significant environmental, social, and economic crises on tourism. Issues concerning uncertainty and risk in the tourism system are introduced, as are the utility and application of resilience models and tools.
Sustainability and resilience in the context of the United Nations Sustainability Development Goals are discussed in the context of future planning and sustainability. Finally, the course focuses on an exploration of how we, as individuals, develop personal resilience in the face of crises.
