Knowledge and understanding

Upon completion of the course, students will be able to:

  • demonstrate knowledge about and critically evaluate theories and concepts with relevance to leadership within social work
  • demonstrate and critically evaluate conditions  and obstacles in relation to operational management within social work
  • demonstrate and critically evaluate, within a social work context, theories and concepts with relevance to collaboration and communication within and between organisations.

Abilities and capabilities

Upon completion of the course, students will be able to:

  • apply theories about and research on organisations, leadership and operational management in relation to the context of social work
  • identify, reflect upon and evaluate the significance of collaboration and communication within and between organisations in relation to the context of social work, nationally and internationally
  • identify opportunities  for sustainable operational management within social work using current research and theories.
