Upon completion of the course, students will be able to:

  • give an account of the discussion about the identity of historical studies in relation to some of the scholarly and theoretical contexts related to the humanities
  • account for and critically evaluate a selection of contemporary historical scholarship
  • demonstrate an independent critical ability to relate to some important theories and methods used within the field of history.
