After passing the course, the student should be able to:
1. account for and evaluate different ways of categorizing pain in relation to the current state of research and be able to account for nociception, biopsychosocial mechanisms for physiotherapeutic pain treatment, pain modulation and the experience of pain from a biopsychosocial perspective
2. account for the development of long-term pain conditions
3. account for and discuss commonly occurring concepts/theories/models/frameworks in physiotherapy and be able to reflect on their significance for clinical practice
4. account for commonly occurring scientific concepts and methods, and be able to apply this knowledge by reviewing scientific literature in the field of pain
5. independently search, evaluate, interpret and synthesize scientific publications within a chosen area of ??specialization related to acute or long-term pain
6. analyze and discuss the connection between chosen area of specialization and social, economic, and ecological sustainable development.
Mandatory online meetings will be held according to the schedule.
