After you apply - Information for applicants

Here you’ll find what happens next in the admissions process, key dates, and where to get help. We also recommend attending one of our applicant webinars to get clear answers at this stage.

Thanks for applying to Dalarna University.
We strongly encourage applicants to our English taught degree programmes to sign up for one or more of the webinars listed below.

After you apply, your application moves through several stages.

  1. Application received and document submission

You have submitted an application on Universityadmissions.se.
You should submit the required documents based on your programme of study and the country where you previously studied.

During this stage, your application status may be listed as “Not processed.”
  2. Document review

Once you have paid the application fee (or verified your fee-exemption as an EU citizens), University Admissions checks whether the documents you submitted demonstrate that you meet the national requirements for general eligibility and English proficiency.
If University Admissions confirms your general eligibility, Dalarna University then reviews your documents to assess whether you meet the programme-specific eligibility requirements.

During this phase, your application status is usually listed as “In progress.”
  3. Eligibility status updates and admissions decisions

After we complete the review, we update your eligibility status on Universityadmissions.se.

During this phase, your application status may be listed as “Qualified” or “Unqualified.”

If we or UniversityAdmissions.se find that something is missing or unclear in your application, we normally notify you via Universityadmissions.se.

Start by checking your application status — then take the actions that apply to you.

You may have already submitted all required documents, or you may still need to upload documents before the deadline for them to be considered on time.

We recommend that you:

  • Log in to Universityadmissions.se at least once a week to check messages and application status
  • Keep track the of important dates and deadlines listed below
  • Submit all required documents for your programme of study and based on the country where you previously studied
  • Register for one or more applicant webinars below to get clear guidance on the admissions process and next steps
  • Follow our current students on Instagram and in student created blogs to learn more about studying and living in Dalarna
