CETLER Seminar Series

CETLER’s seminar series offers an open forum for researchers, students, and practitioners to discuss current topics in tourism, hospitality, and leisure.

The seminars feature invited speakers as well as CETLER’s own researchers, presenting ongoing projects, new results, and emerging perspectives on sustainability, mobility, and visitor behaviour.

The seminars are generally held in English and open to anyone interested in tourism and regional development.

CETLER Autumn Seminar Series 2025

Transformations and Responsibility in the Visitor Economy – People, Places, and Ethics in Transition

How are our ways of travelling, working, and experiencing places changing as tourism, leisure, and society remain in constant motion? This autumn, researchers from various disciplines will gather to explore pressing questions around responsibility, ethics, and transformation in the visitor economy — from emotional labour in hospitality environments to the reshaping of alpine landscapes and sustainable governance of nature-based tourism.

You are warmly invited to join us this autumn for conversations about people, places, and ethics in motion.
