I work as Accounts Receivable at Syngenta - the world's No.1 crop protection maker and No. 3 seed supplier. My job is to control both credit and collections for the United States and Canadian Business, reporting directly to the Finance heads of each Business segment. Currently, I am based in Montevideo, Uruguay.
The global mindset that I acquired was key to developing professionally in an international environment
During the master program I was able to gain a great understanding of the globalized economy, this helped me to see the world itself as one and not just focus on my native country. Being in permanent contact with people from different countries, I had the opportunity to share tasks, debates, and moments with people from cultures very different from mine.
This experience helped change my mentality and be able to perform in an international context with another perspective. By being able to face interpersonal relationships and stakeholder management in a different way, I could get promoted and gain more responsibilities.
